Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for assisting the Controller by administering policies relating to all phases of human capital. This position carries out job duties in the following functional areas: recruiting and retention, performance management, onboarding and new hire orientation, employment law compliance and employee relations.


  • Recruit & onboard new hires
  • Enter timecards into ERP
  • Process payroll
  • Manage employee benefits
  • Track vacation
  • Process union benefit payments
  • Establish employee performance review process
  • Backup accounting with administrative tasks
  • Backup receptionist with phones and other office duties

Qualifications / Skills and knowledge Requirements

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree – Human Resources
  • Sage or comparable ERP experience preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)
  • 5+ years' experience in Human Resources
  • Outlook and Paychex experience preferred
